Not only have I seen widescreen VHS tapes, I think I still own a few. Laughing I used to have widescreen VHS tapes of Return To Oz and The Sound Of Music, but I sold them when I got them on DVD. I still have my widescreen VHS of Lawrence Of Arabia too.

Only with really wide ones like Sleeping Beauty and Lady And The Tramp. And all of the pre-widescreen ones, like Bambi and Snow White are in fullscreen too.

It's possible that since the second two were made for DTV release, they were never made in widescreen to begin with.

Widescreen is the format used in the theaters. Theater screens are a bit wider than your TV screen. When a movie is released in "fullscreen," they've cut off the left and right-most sides of the picture so that it will completely fill a TV screen.

Unfortunately, you'll often lose peripheral details that just shouldn't be lost.

Because the picture doesn't cover the whole T.V. screen when it's wide. I prefer it full like the theaters. and uh...Wide....Seeing black picture black. Makes me want to reach in and stretch it. The picture seems smaller.. wide.

*Blinks* Why d'you want fullscreen, anyway? They cut off the sides of the picture to make a movie fullscreen. Tres annoying. o_0

uh? Why didn't they release both full and wide screen together? Is it too late to get a refund? I mean a exchange?

no. ^^

Why would you want full screen anyway? You get the whole picture with widescreen.

I've looked and there is not. All I see is mention of widescreen.

Do they even make full screen versions with the platinum editions?
