An idea was born in another thread, so we decided to give it a try. The point is to write names of Aladdin characters on paper, randomly choose two, and then write a pairing fic with those two characters. It's fun and also a great challenge for those who like writing. Here are some simple guidelines that I thought might be helpful:

1. The word limit is 100 - 5,000. You can write a drabble if you want to, but the fic shouldn't get too long even if you want to include some character development. As Calluna said, we also want to see people finish.

2. You can use mind control, magic, alcohol, and pretty much any kind of insane plot device you can come up with. They're probably going to be needed with most of the pairings.

3. The depth of the pairing is up to you. That is, the characters don't have to confess their love to each other and start making out. The feelings can be only hinted at, or even one-sided. It could be just sex, too.

4. Don't worry about being coherent. While the fic might be more fun to read if everyone is more or less in character, the pairings are going to be too bizarre for that. Do your best and have fun. Smile

5. There's no time limit, so don't hurry. You can also take the challenge any time you want. Oh, and nobody is going to kill you if you sign up but don't manage to write anything.

6. Please let everyone else see the fic.

If you have any other suggestions, go ahead and post them.

Well, I pulled two names from a hat and they were Abu and Mechanikles. Laughing
