What exactly is Ursula wearing in TLM?

Is she wearing anything at all? Although it looks like a "halter" I'm pretty sure it's not a dress or shirt. The black part of her ensemble might resemble clothing but is it acutally her skin?

I think it's just the way her skin looks. It appears to be a dress cause animators are creative like that Laughing

I actually never thought about it before. But I was doing a "Disney villains" thing for my computer class and I was thinking of a "best dressed" category when I realized I wasn't sure what the heck Ursula was wearing...or not wearing. Laughing

well, it does look like a dress. if you play close attention, most of the larger mermaids and the like have the whole one-fin thing going on. maybe some of them have shells (im not sure), but most of them simply have the one-fin. it's kind of like larger women when they go to a pool--they have one piece bathing suits. there are sometimes the bold ones that wear bikinis, but usually it's one piece all the way!
